Practise Before the Real Interview

Knowing how you want to answer an interview question is very different from saying your answer out loud.

A mock interview gives you the opportunity to practise in a realistic but supportive environment before your real interview.

We'll recreate the interview experience, work through relevant questions and identify areas where you can strengthen your answers, communication and confidence.

How I Can Help

Practise Realistic Interview Questions

I'll ask you questions based on the type of role you're applying for, helping you experience what it feels like to respond in an interview-style setting.

Practise Your Answers Out Loud

Sometimes an answer sounds great in your head but becomes difficult to explain when you're speaking.

Practising aloud can help you organise your thoughts, become more comfortable with your examples and communicate your experience more naturally.

Improve Your Answer Structure

If you find yourself going off-topic, giving very short answers or forgetting what you wanted to say, I'll help you develop a clearer structure for your responses.

Where appropriate, we can also practise techniques such as the STAR method for competency-based questions.

Practise Handling Unexpected Questions

You can't predict every question you'll be asked.

A mock interview can help you become more comfortable thinking on the spot, taking time to consider a question and responding even when you haven't prepared an answer in advance.

Strengthen Your Answers

After practising, we can look at where your answers could be stronger.

I'll help you identify where you could add more detail, provide a better example, make your answer more relevant or communicate your contribution more clearly.

Develop Your Professional Communication

We'll look at how you communicate your experience, skills and achievements.

With my specialism in Business English and professional communication, I can help you find clearer and more professional ways to express what you want to say while still sounding natural.

Receive Constructive Feedback

After your practice, I'll provide supportive and practical feedback on what went well and where you could improve.

The aim isn't to criticise your performance — it's to give you a clearer understanding of what you can work on before the real interview.

Turn Preparation Into Practice

You can read interview advice, prepare examples and plan your answers — but at some point, you need to practise saying them.

Mock interviews give you the opportunity to test your preparation, strengthen your answers and build confidence through practice.

So when the real interview arrives, it won't feel like the first time you've done it.
